Libby Ellis Creasy, 80, of Garner, North Carolina passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, encircled by the love of her family.
Libby was born on January 6, 1945, in Leaksville, North Carolina, to Ross Edward Ellis and Kate Agnes Barker. Raised in Stoneville, she discovered early her lifelong desire to care for others. She fulfilled that calling by graduating from the Danville Memorial School of Nursing, beginning a distinguished career as a labor and delivery nurse. Through her steady hands and compassionate heart, she comforted, encouraged, and welcomed new life into the world-touching generations.
Those who knew Libby will remember her gentle spirit, her kindness, and the quiet strength she carried throughout her life. She had a gift for making others feel loved. Her humor, generosity, and deep affection for animals were constants that brought light and warmth into her home. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family.
Libby leaves behind her beloved husband, Michael Lewis Creasy, Sr., and her children: Michael Lewis Creasy, Jr., Christopher Ellis Creasy, Suzanne Elizabeth Creasy Allison, and Jon Zachary Creasy. She is also survived by her sister, Suzanne Barker Ellis, and eight precious grandchildren who adored their "Nana". She now rejoins her parents who preceded her in death.
A wake will be held on Friday, November 21, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, North Carolina 27529 from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
