Lewis T. Jimmy Pope

Jimmy Pope, 77, passed away on Saturday at Rex Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Sampson County to the late William Taft and Willodene Taylor Pope. He was the parts manager at Thompson Cadillac for 31 years and served in the North Carolina National Guard. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 PM, Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Burial to follow at Spring Branch Cemetery, Dunn. Survivors include his daughter: Connie (John) Hearne ; Special number one grandson; Austin Hearne and a son: Michael Pope. He is also survived by his special companion; Karen Dean and his former wife; Ruth Bass Pope. One sister: Darlene Cissel and one brother: Odell (Donna) Pope. Other special family members; Chris, Kami, and Reagan Overby and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 11AM -12:45 PM .
