Leona “Lee” Ball Timm

Leona “Lee” Ball Timm died on Tuesday, January 15 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC. Leona was a native of Franklin Co., born December 12, 1930. Leona was preceded in death by her father, George Edward Ball and mother, Mary Emma Smart Ball; and brother, Julian Edward Ball. Surviving are her daughters, Dianne T. Byerly of Glen Burnie, MD, Karen T. Timm of Fuquay-Varina, NC, and Kay T. Melton of Benson, NC; grandchildren, Christopher Melton, Ashley Melton, and Erin Byerly-Hope. A funeral service will be held on Friday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner at 11:00 AM. A committal service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Oak Level Christian Church Cemetery, 2279 Cedar Creek Road Youngsville, NC 27596 . The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday from 6-8 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
