Lawrence “Larry” E. Hancock, Jr.

Larry Hancock, 64, passed away Sunday March 10, 2019. A native of Norfolk, Va. he was the son of the late Lawrence and Francis Trader Hancock. Larry retired as a Lieutenant from the Wake County Sheriffs Office after 26 years on duty. After his retirement Larry worked for the N.C. General Assembly as Sergeant at Arms. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and friend to many. Memorial service will be at 1:00 PM Thursday March 14, 2019 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. The family will receive friends after the service. Along with his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Hancock. Larry is survived by his daughter; Carla Hatten and husband Andy; sons, Michael Hancock, Dalton Hancock and Ian Hancock; sisters, Karen Pearce and husband Richard and Elizabeth Throneberry; and two grandchildren, Logan and Luke Hatten.
