Kevin Walton

Kevin Sauls Walton, born July 2, 1961, beloved husband, father, brother, and dear friend, passed away at home on January 16, surrounded by his loving family. Kevin was a man of quiet strength, deep love, and unwavering devotion to his family. His faith in God was a guiding force throughout his life, sustaining him even in the darkest days. With a calm steadiness that comforted those around him, Kevin lived by the mantra, "Everything's gonna be alright," a reflection of his trust, hope, and enduring faith. Above all, Kevin cherished his family.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Katherine, whose love and partnership meant everything to him. In addition to his wife, Katherine Shearin Walton, Kevin is survived by three sons: Joshua Lee Walton, Jeremy Allen Walton (wife, Emily), and Benjamin Perry Walton. He leaves behind three siblings: Lynn Walton (wife, Jackie), Cindy Ingle (husband, David), and Jill Norris (husband, Scott). Kevin leaves four grandchildren, Brianna, Savannah, Elowyn, and Charlie Walton, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Jeanette Walton. The family is deeply grateful to the medical team at Duke Raleigh for their compassionate care, kindness, and support, which were a blessing during Kevin's illness. Visitation will be held Monday, January 19th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bryan Lee Funeral Home in Garner. A service to celebrate Kevin's life will be held on January 20th at 2 o'clock at Highland Baptist Church in Raleigh. In honor of Kevin's life and his dedication as a Mason, the family welcomes memorial donations to William T. Bain Lodge.
