Kent "Logan" McAllister

SANFORD - With heavy hearts we announce that Kent "Logan" McAllister, age 32, of Sanford, North Carolina, entered eternal rest on May 30, 2025. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and grew up in Holly Springs, North Carolina where he attended Holly Springs Elementary School and went on to graduate middle school from Oakridge Military Academy. He attended high school at Grace Christian School and graduated from Southern Lee High.

Logan lived life fearlessly. He was a beloved father, son, brother and friend. As a cherished member of our family Logan brought laughter, warmth and a unique sense of adventure to all that knew him. He loved motorcycles, guns, the outdoors, his 3D printer, and he was an incredibly talented and skilled carpenter.

Logan leaves behind a legacy of loyalty and is survived by his son, Amari McAllister; parents, Charlotte Coley and Scott McAllister; step-parents, Sarah Coker-McAllister and Craig Lessig; maternal grandmother, Elise Coley; siblings, Elise Jones, Wyatt McAllister, Sierra Piedra, and Scarlet Prater; brothers-in-law, Chris Jones and Santos Piedra; and his nieces and nephews, Mateo Piedra (5), Marlie Jones (4), Josey Jones (3), Alessandra Piedra (2 months); and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Logan "Sonny" Coley; paternal grandparents, Barbara and Kent McAllister; uncle, James "Jim" Coley; and his beloved dog, Brady.

The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation from 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home of Raleigh (831 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, NC 27604), immediately followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM in the Mausoleum Chapel of Historic Oakwood Cemetery (701 Oakwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27601). Burial will occur within Historic Oakwood Cemetery at the conclusion of the chapel service. All are welcome to attend.
