Kathryn Milton

Kathryn Williford Milton of Fuquay-Varina, NC passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at WakeMed Cary Hospital. She had been surrounded by her family in the days preceding her death.

She was the loving wife of Van Milton for 60 years. They enjoyed building a loving family together and spending time with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Kathryn lived by her deep faith and commitment to following Jesus. She was active in her church family at Quest Fellowship Church. Kathryn loved to cook for her family and friends and went out of her way to ensure that everyone had something that they loved at each meal. She was famous for her homemade pudding and broad variety of food options at family gatherings. Her greatest joy was serving her family with delicious meals and through faithfully praying for each of them.

Kathryn started her administrative career in insurance after graduating from Hardbarger Business College. Then she stayed at home as a homemaker and caretaker for her children and nieces until they started school. She ultimately retired after serving as church secretary for Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for almost 30 years.

Along with her husband, Van, she is survived by her son, Darrell Milton and his wife Adrian; her Daughter Dana Roberts and her husband Paul; brother Carl and sister Annette; granddaughters Kayla (Bradley), Hannah (Cameron) and Rebecca; grandsons Taylor and Brock; great grandchildren Lilly, Ellie, Sophia and Caleb.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Lillian Williford and sister Brenda Johnson.

Visitation will be preceding the celebration of life service on Friday, January 2, 2026 at Quest Fellowship Church, 5120 Raynor Rd, Garner, NC 27529. The family will have a private burial service. The visitation will begin at 11:45 and the celebration of life service will begin at 1.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kathryn’s local church, Quest Fellowship Church, Garner.
