Judy Creech Brown, 84, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on February 7, 1942, Judy lived a life rooted in unwavering faith, deep compassion, and a genuine love for people.
Judy was the kind of person who made everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. She never met a stranger and had a warmth about her that drew people in instantly. Her gentle spirit, servant's heart, and kind soul left a lasting impact on countless lives. Whether you knew her for a lifetime or only a moment, you walked away better for having known her.
Her faith in Jesus was the foundation of her life. Judy lived out her faith daily through the way she loved others, cared for her family, served her community, and offered encouragement to anyone who needed it. She carried herself with grace, humility, and quiet strength, always trusting God through every season of life. Her family finds comfort knowing she is now healed and whole in the presence of her Savior whom she loved so deeply.
For more than 35 years, Judy dedicated her life to teaching and shaping the lives of children. She loved her students wholeheartedly and was known not only for what she taught in the classroom, but for the patience, encouragement, and love she gave so freely. Long after leaving her classroom, many still remembered Mrs. Brown as one of the most caring and influential people in their lives.
Judy was also a founding member of the Swift Creek Fire Women's Auxiliary, faithfully serving and supporting her community for many years.
Above all else, Judy loved her family fiercely and unconditionally. She shared more than 66 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Titus Leon Brown - a love story marked by devotion, faith, loyalty, and family. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories.
She was a proud and loving mother to Donnie Leon Brown and Sharon Brown, and a cherished grandmother to Donnie Brown (Katherine) and Dillon Brown (Krista).
Her greatest joy in life was being "Ma" to her four precious great-grandchildren - Kinsley, Chadwick, Emma Kate, and Charlotte. They were truly the light of her life, and she treasured every hug, every laugh, and every moment spent with them.
She is survived by her loving husband, Titus Leon Brown; her son, Donnie Leon Brown; her grandsons, Donnie Brown (Katherine) and Dillon Brown (Krista); her four great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Chadwick, Emma Kate, and Charlotte; and her nephew, David Williams (Amanda).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Albert Creech and Agnes Creech; her daughter, Sharon Brown; her beloved daughter-in-law, Robynne Brown; and her siblings, Tony Creech and Deanie Williams.
While her family's hearts are broken here on earth, they find peace in knowing Judy is now in Heaven with Jesus, reunited once again with Robynne and Sharon. They can only imagine Robynne greeting her with the biggest smile and a hot cup of coffee, welcoming her home with love.
Judy's life was a beautiful reflection of faith, love, selflessness, and grace. Though she will be deeply missed every single day, the legacy she leaves behind will continue to shine brightly through the family she adored and the many lives she touched.
She will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Catawba Springs Christian Church.
