Joyce Byrd Weeks

WILLOW SPRING– Joyce Byrd Weeks, 84, passed away on Saturday at Johnston Hospice Center. A native of Moore County, Joyce was the daughter of the late John Monroe “Doc” Byrd and Kathryn Hunt Byrd. Survivors include sister, Barbara Byrd; sisters-in-law Linda Byrd and Dean Weeks; nieces, Joy Johnson Howell (John), Jill Johnson Monroe (Malcolm), Victoria Byrd; nephew, Scott Byrd; stepson, Jack Weeks. In addition to her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her husband, James Kelly Weeks; sister, Vivian Byrd Johnson; brothers, William “Billy” Byrd and Jack Barron Byrd; nephews, Derrick Johnson and John Byrd; stepson, Donald Glenn Weeks. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 15 at 11:00 AM at Harnett Devotional Gardens, 5665 Fairground Rd, Dunn, NC 28334 Dunn, NC.
