Joshua Cole Arrington, age 28, of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, passed away on July 10, 2026. Born on June 14, 1998, Joshua brought immense joy, light, and warmth to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Joshua grew up in Franklin, Wisconsin, before moving to North Carolina, where he graduated from Fuquay-Varina High School. Known for his incredible energy, wonderful smile, and diverse talents, Joshua was deeply passionate about music and had a natural gift for connecting with others.

A proud graduate of Fuquay-Varina High School, Joshua was a standout athlete who left a lasting impression on the Bengal athletic community. He poured his heart, strength, and determination into sports, excelling as both a varsity football player and a competitive wrestler. On the football field, Joshua played with relentless grit and passion as a running back and outside linebacker, earning the deep respect of his coaches, teammates, and the community. On the wrestling mat, he competed fiercely in the 160 lb weight class, proudly representing Fuquay-Varina in regional and state competition. His time as a Bengal showcased not only his physical talents but his natural leadership, infectious sportsmanship, and dedication to his teammates.

Following high school, Joshua enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country and continuing to inspire those around him after his time in the service.

He is survived by his loving family, including his mother and father, Lisa and Matthew Cole; father, Willis (Daniella) Arrington; his cherished daughter, Aria; and sister, Caroline. He is also survived by his grandparents, Rick and Rhonda Cole, Selena and Bruce Walker, and his loving Abuela (grandmother), Jackeline Corsino who he shared a uniquely and beautiful bond with; his aunt, Dagmar and uncle, Rudy, alongside their three sons, Elijah, Ezra, and Evan; uncle, Shaun Kerney and his children, Alina and Shaun, Jr.; and many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his loving Abuelo (grandfather), Willie.

His family will receive friends and family on Sunday, July 19, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 300 E. McIver Street Angier, NC.

His funeral service will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026 at 11:00 am in Cross Assembly, 2660 Yonkers Road, Raleigh, NC. A graveside service will be held at Wake Chapel Memorial Gardens at 2:00 pm.
