Joseph "Joe" Andrews

FUQUAY-VARINA – Joseph “Joe” Andrews, 86, passed away at Rex Hospital in Raleigh on Monday. Born in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Carlie Andrews and Lilly Pearl Parrish Andrews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 25th at 2:30 pm in the chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Burial will follow the service at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:15 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Athala Peed Andrews of the home; daughter, Lisa Poole (Thomas) of Coats; son, Lynn Andrews (Angela) of Harrisburg; sister, Judy Register (J.D.) of Willow Spring; sister-in-law, Doris Andrews of Fuquay-Varina; brother, Jim Andrews (Betty) of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren, Blaine Andrews (Sydni) of Concord, Aubrey Troutman (David) of Harrisburg, and Ashton Andrews of Harrisburg; nine great-grandchildren; and special friends, Ken and Gene Stephenson, Harold and Debbie Wells, and Matt Hill.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Andrews Myatt; sister, Alder Myatt; brothers, Larry Andrews and Donald Ray Andrews; and granddaughter, Amy Myatt Smith.
