GARNER - Joseph Ira Lee, 59, passed away on Saturday. Joe is preceded in death by his father, George Lee and sister, Sharon Maynard. The family will receive friends on Monday from 7 - 9PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday in the Bryan-Lee Chapel. Burial will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park. Joe was a retired correctional officer for Polk Youth and Wake Correctional Centers. As a contributing writer for the Cleveland Post, Joes columns name was My Southern Expressions Joe is survived by his wife Valinda Sue Lee; mother, Dora Lee; son, David Lee; brothers, Steve Lee and wife Shirley and Bobby Lee and wife Elaine and also a large and loving extended family.
