Joseph H. “Joe” Britt

Joseph H. “Joe” Britt, 69, died Thursday.  A native of Wake County he was the son of the late Horace and Mildred Perry Britt.  A U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, he was a retired employee of the News & Observer.  He was also a retired member of  the Garner Volunteer  Fire Department. Graveside services will be 3:00 pm Monday at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends after the service. Surviving are his sisters, Elizabeth Stephenson, and Deborah Ragan both of Raleigh. In addition to his parents Mr. Britt was predeceased by his sisters, Evelyn Britt, LaDora Britt Talley, and brother, Horace Britt, Jr. Memorial contributions may be made to the Garner Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 441, Garner NC 27529 or Turner Memorial Baptist Church, 3704 Benson Rd.
