Jon Hunt

Jon Hunt, age 84, of Angier, NC died on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, in Gabriel Manor Assisted Living. He was born on February 13, 1942, in Florida to the late Conrad Perry Hunt and Agnus Stephenson Hunt.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Stancil Hunt; his sons, Carlton Hunt and Jon Conrad Hunt; his grandchildren, Megan Delaney Hunt, Annaka Hunt and Conrad Hunt; his sisters. Mabel Joyce Bell, Susan Hunt Millar and Janet Hunt McCool.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Carlton Perry Hunt, Dora Sharpe, Helen Smith and Carolyn Buffo.

Jon was a faithful and active member of Angier United Methodist Church as long as his health allowed. He was active in many different ministries of the church. Jon faithfully served with the Kairos Prison Ministry at Central Prison pointing many inmates to Jesus. He was an avid outdoorsman.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the Angier United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Angier United Methodist Church, 278 S Wilma Street, Angier, NC 27501.
