John Warren, 78, was reunited with his bride in heaven on Thursday, November 27, 2025. A native of Wake County, he was the son of the late Junius Campbell and Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Clark Warren, Jr.
John attended Broughton High School and graduated from Hargrave Military Academy in 1966. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from East Carolina University and served in the United States Marine Corp during Vietnam. His go-getter attitude resulted in a diverse sales career that spanned many industries including manufacturing, automotive and real estate. He had a love of classic cars, golf, boating and all kinds of music. He and Connie cherished their time spent at the mountains and coast of North Carolina amongst a vast array of lifelong friends. They also enjoyed volunteering in Blowing Rock, NC with Samaritan's Purse each year. On account of his beaming personality, John accrued many nicknames over the years. He was known as Big Guy, Papa, Johnny Dollar and the most notorious, "Damage". He was proud to be a 32nd degree Master Mason, a Shriner, a Marine, and a lifelong East Carolina University Pirate fan. John leaves a legacy of love and laughter that will forever live on in the hearts of all that knew him.
John is survived by his son, Chad Warren and wife, Laura of Winterville; and cherished grandchildren, Hailey, Emily, Everett and Brantley; sister, Mary Harris; brother, Mark Warren and wife, Debbie; lifelong friends and Godparents to his son, Bobby and Karen Perry; and dedicated caregiver, Ursula Dunn.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Constance "Connie" Warren, who was the love of his life, his best friend and soulmate.
A special thank you to neighbors, Ken and Alice Rodriguez, for their incredible kindness and steadfast friendship. Additionally, a special thank you to Ursula Dunn, and her mother Norma, for their years of dedication caring for John.
