John Steven Melvin, Sr.
October 25, 1940 -August 9, 2012 APEX - John Steven Melvin, Sr., 71, passed away Thursday at Rex Hospital. A native of Hernshaw, West Virginia, he was born to the late John Edward and Mary Dulaney Hager Melvin. He is survived by his wife Linda Hanshaw Melvin; son, John Steven Melvin and his wife, Mary, of Louisburg; sister Audrey Ann Greathouse and her husband, Roy; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1-3 pm at 1402 Buffaloe Rd, Garner.
