John "Junior" Jones, Jr.

ANGIER – John Paul Jones, Jr., 84, passed away in Fuquay-Varina on Monday surrounded by his loving family. Born in Johnston County, he was the son of the late John Paul Jones, Sr. and Annie Atkinson Jones. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 21st at 11:00 AM at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery, Willow Spring. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Jones (Sandra) of Benson; daughter, Karen Jones; brother, Hubert Jones of Autryville; grandchildren, Paul Smart (Allison) of Fuquay-Varina, John Smart (Carissa) of Willow Spring, Johnathan McQuade of Raleigh, Maria McQuade of Kannapolis, Thomas McQuade of Benson; great-grandchildren, Ella Smart and Robert McQuade; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Junior was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Phyllis Jones; son, Mark Jones; brother, Percy Jones; sisters-in-law, Norma Sue Jones and Barbara Jones.
