John Jones

John Ronald Jones, age 79, died Thursday, January 8, 2026, at home. He was born on August 15, 1946 in Wake County, NC to John William Jones and Catherleen Penny Jones.

He is survived by his wife, June Mary Jones; daughters, Tara Kate Jones, Tammy Austin, Lauren Searcy, Tracy Pittman, and Deborah Bradburn; son, Thomas Fair; sisters, Wendy Cottle and Kay Murphy; brother, Jerry Jones; grandchildren, Jamie Smith, Kaycee Searcy, Lucas Lindor, Matthew Lindor, Jamie Tipton, and Jessica Tipton.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Don Jones; grandchildren, Dylan Anderson Jones and Robbie Lee Smith.

His visitation will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529.
