John Dierickx

RALEIGH - John Vincent Dierickx, 79, of Raleigh, NC, passed away the evening of September 28, 2025. Born on March 12, 1946, in Jacksonville, NC, to the late Phil and Elizabeth Dierickx, he will be deeply missed by all those who had the blessing of knowing him.

John is survived by his dedicated and loving wife of almost fifty years, Jackie; his sons, Paul Dierickx (Kristen) and Tony Honeycutt (Ashley); brother, Michael Dierickx and wife Constance; sister, Marie Taylor; and grandchildren, Payton and Gibson Dierickx, Allison, Emma, and Avery Honeycutt.

John was a man to whom character was everything. Raised to be mindful of manners by his mother, he lived his life honestly and with an open mind. Anyone who met him would be greeted with respect, and that made an impression. John shared a passion for animals with his wife, and was the happy pet-parent to four cats.

A graveside service will be held at Montlawn Memorial Park on October 6, 2025 at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the SPCA or your local animal shelter, John would rather that money feed and shelter those animals without families.
