Joan Jacquelyn Moore

Joan Jacquelin Sammons Moore, 88, passed away Saturday. A native of Kentucky, she is the daughter of the late James and Cleona Tackett Sammons.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 12:00 PM at Montlawn Memorial Park Chapel of Memories mausoleum. Entombment will follow. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.

Joan is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Holder and husband, Greg of Carolina Beach, son, Dan Moore, and wife Bethany of Raleigh, step-son Terry Moore and wife Michelle of Wilmington; sister, Judy Branhan; brother, Terry Sammons, 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, R.W. Moore; daughter, Teresa Rue; and sister, Peggy Craft.
