Jimmy Arthur Wood

Jimmy A. Wood, 51, passed away at home after an extended illness, surrounded by his loving family. A native of Wake County, he was the son of Arthur and Pansy Greer Wood. Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Sat. Aug. 2, at the Pentecostals of Fuquay, Dwight Rowland Road, Fuquay-Varina. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife; Jill Sawvel Wood; daughters, Samantha Wood and husband Daniel Coor and Renee Landtroop and husband Rodney, Rachel Barbour and husband Vann; son, Jimmy D. Wood; sisters, Carolyn Pinion, Mary Russell and husband Glenn and Teresa Wood; 7 grandchildren, Cyrilla, Macie and Zane Landtroop; Noah, Maddie and Levi Barbour and Jase Coor, and a large extended family. The family will receive friends and relatives at the church from 11:00 - 1:00 pm prior to the service.
