Rev. Jesse "Jay" Weaver, of Garner, North Carolina, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 26, 2026, at the age of 83. Jay was born on December 1, 1942, to the late Fred Jackson Weaver and Lillie Mae Jones Weaver.
For decades, Jay faithfully served the Lord as a minister with the N.C. International Pentecostal Holiness Church and pastored several churches throughout the state. In addition to his ministry, he owned and operated a successful painting business for many years, earning the respect of those who knew him through both his work and his witness. If he wasn't "painting or preaching'", you could usually find him at the local Waffle House in fellowship with friends enjoying a cup of coffee...black.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Weaver; son, Chris Weaver and wife Dawna; daughters, Waynette (Flossie) Harrison and husband Jay, and Tammy Lyons; sister Shirley Strickland; brothers, Paul Weaver and wife Joy, and Nick Weaver. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Chris Weaver Jr. and wife Brittany, Jessica Rimbey and husband Mike, Troy Weaver, Mandi Crow and husband Ramsey, Jennifer Foster and husband Steven, Chelsie Horner and husband Will, Holston Satterwhite and wife Brigette, Amanda Sibrizzi and husband Eric; great grandchildren, Graeson, Trace, Ella, Mckenna, Gavin, Braddock, Christina, Haven Rose, Ivy, Addison, Carson, along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Rev. Weaver was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred Weaver Jr., William Weaver, Allen Weaver, Samuel Weaver, John Weaver, and Jerry Weaver; sisters, Bertha Hall, Mary Jones and Martha Davis; daughter-in-law Angie Weaver.
Jay lived a life defined by faith, kindness, hard work and a deep love for Christ and his family. He will be sorely missed.
Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations can be made to Falcon Children's Home / PO Box 39 Falcon, NC 28342, or a church of your choice.
