Jerry Wayne Smith

WILLOW SPRING - Jerry Wayne Smith, 69, died Saturday. A native of Wake County, he was the son of the late Rufus and Lena Stephenson Smith. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday at Kennebec Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Smith; daughter, Sherry Long and husband, Hal of Raleigh; son, Gary Smith of Willow Spring; sister, Magdalene Pleasant and husband, Sherill of Coats; brothers, Fred Smith of Four oaks, Ralph Smith and wife, Billie Ann of Fuquay-Varina, Durwood Smith of Willow Spring; grandchildren, Mason & Sawyer Long. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Mozelle Adams, Barbara Howard; brothers, Rufus G. Smith, Richard Ray Smith, and Dwight L. Smith. The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 PM Sunday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier.
