Jerry Ray Holderfield

Jerry Ray Holderfield, 77, died Tuesday. A native of Wake County, he was the youngest son of Norman Earl Holderfield and Harriette Mae Andrews Holderfield. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dewey Mack Holderfield and Roger Earl Holderfield. His beloved wife of 55 years, Jean Rhue Holderfield, also preceded him 5 months ago. Jerry was a graduate of Cary Senior High School and a retired US Postal Service letter carrier. He enjoyed woodshop working in his retirement and participated in many years of active service at St. Barnabas Presbyterian church. Survivors include his son, Anthony Ray Holderfield of Washington, NC; daughter, Donna Jean Lovshin and husband, Richard of Rocky Mount, NC. He especially took great pride in his grandson Zacharys achievements and activities. The family will receive visitors from 6-8:00 pm Friday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
