James Allen Huguelet

James Allen Huguelet, born on May 14, 1947, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, in Smithfield, North Carolina. He was 78 years old.

James, known fondly as Jim to those close to him, was the beloved husband of Dianna Huguelet. He was a devoted father to his daughter Tina Girard and her husband David Girard, and his son Thomas Wilson. Jim also cherished his role as a grandfather to his grandson Jax Wilson. He was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence Huguelet and Elizabeth Allen.

Jim proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1971. During his service, he was stationed in Alaska, where he contributed to the nation with dedication and honor.

A man of many talents and passions, Jim found great joy in working with wood and building things. His craftsmanship reflected his patience and creativity. He also loved spending time outdoors fishing and hunting-activities that brought him peace and fulfillment.

Above all else, Jim was a family man who always made time for those he loved. His unwavering support and care left an indelible mark on the lives of his family members. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love he shared so generously.
