James "Jim" Wilfred Beaudoin, 80, of Fuquay-Varina, NC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on April 6, 1945, in Moran, Michigan, Jim lived a life full of service, love, laughter, and adventure. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, working on the flight deck and building a strong foundation of discipline and dedication that would follow him throughout his life. After his military service, Jim went on to earn an associate degree and pursued a long and fulfilling career, working at Sara Lee Bakery in process control and later serving as Assistant Director of IT at the College of Lake County until his retirement.
Jim had a deep love for life and a spirit of fun that never faded. He was an avid traveler who found special joy in Disney adventures, roller coasters, card games, golfing, camping, and reading. Nothing made him happier than sharing laughter, teasing those he loved, and cuddling babies-especially his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.
Jim was a devoted member of the Apostolic Faith Church in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where he served faithfully as a board member, bookkeeper, and Sunday school teacher. Jim and Lissa recently relocated to North Carolina and were welcome into the church family at The Pentecostals of Fuquay.
His generosity, warmth, and faith touched the lives of many, and his legacy of service continues through the countless lives he impacted.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of The Pentecostals of Fuquay, 2317 NC 42 Hwy Willow Spring, NC 27592. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Historic Oakwood Cemetery located at 701 Oakwood Ave. Raleigh, NC 27601.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Lissa Beaudoin; his daughters, Niki Forrest (Keith) and Diane Beaudoin; and his beloved grandchildren, Emily, Lauren, and Julia Forrest, and James Baugh. He is also remembered by his siblings, Sandra White (Richard), Yvonne Fuller (Chuck), and Tom Beaudoin (Cindy) and sister-in-law Lucy Beaudoin; as well as 17 nieces and nephews who adored their "Uncle Jim."
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Anna May Beaudoin (Soeltner), and his siblings, Judie Sherman, Wilma Litzner, and Dale Beaudoin.
Jim's memory will live on in the stories, smiles, and shared laughter of those who knew and loved him. He taught us the value of joy, the strength of faith, and the enduring power of family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Diabetes association.
