RALEIGH – Jack Cooke Scott peacefully entered Heaven and found comfort and rest in Jesus’ loving arms on October 9, 2026. He was 95. He was born on October 24, 1930. While attending East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, Jack met the love of his life, Alberta Clark. They were married for over 72 years. After graduating from East Carolina University, Jack went to work for the NC Services for the Blind as a vocational counselor and later as a budget officer and received many awards for his service.

Jack enjoyed playing and watching sports. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC.

Jack was a proud and loving husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather who was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Alberta Clark Scott; his daughter, Eve Barnes (Thomas); and his grandchildren, Neil Barnes (Kirby) and Scott Barnes.

There will be a private family service to celebrate Jack’s life.

Funeral arrangements are by Bryan-Lee Funeral Home of Raleigh. A guest book is available at the funeral home during office hours (8:30 AM-5:00 PM) for those that wish to pay their respects in person, or online condolences may be offered at www.bryan-leefuneralhome.com
