Ira Baxter Rushing

Clayton- Ira Baxter Rushing, 70 passed away at his residence on Thursday. He was born in Anson County to the late Albert Baxter and Maude Horne Rushing and he was a self-employed painter. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 03, 2013 at Oakwood Historical Cemetery in Raleigh NC. Visitation will be held at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner on Tuesday July 02, from 6 to 8 PM. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn A. Rushing, three daughters: Tiffany Rushing of Raleigh, Michelle Rushing of Morrisville and Melody( Ray) Barry of Myrtle Beach, SC.; one son: Allen(Kathy) Rushing of Apex. Two sisters Mary (Roland) Robinson of Garner and Marie ( Bruce ) Sloan of Clayton; also two brothers, Dohn Rushing of Clayton and Leon (Judy) Rushing of Cary. Three grandchildren; Stacey, Jessica Rushing and Amber Barry; also Three great-grandchildreb, Allison and Stella Fair, and Rebecca Kesler.
