Christine Simpson Roberts

Christine Simpson Roberts, 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Born September 24, 1948 in Moore County, NC, she was the daughter of Martin and Earsie Kiser Simpson.

Christine lived a life rooted in faith, service, and love for others. As the daughter of an Air Force family, she spent much of her childhood moving from place to place, a pattern that continued into her adult life alongside her beloved husband, DC. Christine devoted decades of her career to the floral industry, eventually owning her own florist business before retiring after many years of dedicated service. At home, she found great joy in tending her garden, which became both a source of nourishment for her family and a way to care for her community. She loved cooking, canning vegetables, and gathering others around the table to share a meal, often giving generously from her harvest to anyone in need. Christine truly had a servant’s heart. She and DC treasured time spent at the beach and vacationing along the coast, and she especially enjoyed fishing. A devoted woman of faith, Christine faithfully served for many years at First Baptist Church of Garner and most recently became a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

Christine is survived by her daughters; Hollie Cox (Jim) of Raleigh, NC and Shannon Hamilton (Robert) Hamilton of Atlanta, GA; son, David Roberts, Jr. of Zebulon, NC; sisters, Nancy Cameron of Garner, NC and Karen Jones (Don) of Aurora, NC; brother, Martin Simpson, Jr. (Cheryl) of Wake Forest, NC; grandchildren, James Cox (Shaina) and Stephanie Cox; and great-grandchildren, Liam Co, Grayson Cox and Tessa Kate Cox..

Christine was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 48 years, D.C. Roberts.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 12:00pm at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.
