Herbert Ezzell Partin

Sept. 2, 1926 - January 28, 2012 ANGIER - Herbert Ezzell Partin, 85, a retired 30 year employee with the Raleigh Fire Dept., died Saturday at his home. A native of Harnett County and a WWII Navy Veteran, he was the son of the late Herbert and Corinna Ivey Partin. He was affectionately known as Goody by his grand children and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Angier Baptist Church. Entombment will follow at Harnett Memorial Park, Lillington with Masonic Rites. Surviving: his wife of 40 years, Becky S. Partin; daughter, Jane K. Tew of Dunn; grandchildren, Leigh Holder and Brittaney Stonerock, both of Angier and Rick Jordan of Ft. Campbell, KY and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Deborah Howard and Dianne Harney and brothers, Cam Partin, Millard Partin and Preston Wilson. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Memorial contributions may be made to the Angier Baptist Church, P.O. Box 130, Angier, NC 27501.
