Henry Melvin Seagroves

Garner - Henry Melvin Seagroves joined his Lord and Savior, as well as his wife of fifty-nine years, Shirley, at the age of 89 on September 2, 2026. A native of Wake County, Henry was born to Eugene and Bessie Seagroves on July 9, 1937.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 6 at 3:00 PM at Vandora Springs Freewill Baptist Church with a visitation to be held one hour prior, at 2:00 PM. A private burial will be held at a later time.

Henry was a proud truck driver who worked for Big Star and the State of North Carolina. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

In addition to his parents, Henry is preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley. He is survived by his daughter, Beverly; sons, Randy (Tammy), Zindall (Crystal) and Jeff (Connie) ; brother, Tommy; grandchildren, Jennifer, Marc, Alex, Brittany, Zachary, Hannah, Jordan, Courtney, Kyle, and Cori; and great-granchildren, Peyton and A.J. Vance.
