Helen Brook Smith

Helen Brook Jackson Smith, 97, passed away November 8, 2021. Helen was born in Sampson County, to the late Guthrie and Cleo Hudson Jackson. Helen worked in the Pentagon during WWII, where she met her husband of 52 years, Henry Smith, a career Marine and combat veteran. Graveside Service will be held November 28, 2021, at 2pm, at Shady Grove Cemetery, Hudsontown Road, in Dunn, NC. The family will receive friends following the service. Helen is survived by her children, Kenneth Smith and wife, Lynne, of Henderson, NV and Carol Ebert and husband, Matt, of Lillington, NC; granddaughter, Shannon Hallak Bour and husband, Brian, of Sanford, NC; great grandchildren, Devin Hallak and Aliyah Hallak; sister, Faye Forrest; and a brother, Scott Jackson and wife, Mary. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by two brothers, Rufus and Bruce Jackson.
