Gwen Alice Newcomer

Clayton – Gwen Alice Newcomer, 58, passed away Wednesday at her home, with her loving family by her side. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the Keith M. and Barbara Ann Nolan. She loved her family very much and enjoyed going to the beach. Gwen is survived by her husband, Paul Newcomer of Clayton; mother, Barbara Nolan of Jacksonville, NC; daughter, Holly Ann Byrd of Clinton, NC; son Danny Ray Byrd (Krista) of Tilden, Illinois; sisters, Kathy Williams (Allen) of Jacksonville, NC, and Tari Eichinger of Newbern, NC; and grandchildren, Taylor Byrd, Camden Atkison, and Lydia Byrd. She was preceded in death by her father, Keith M. Nolan.
