Gordon Richard Connor, Sr.

FUQUAY-VARINA– Gordon Richard Connor, Sr., 92, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family. A native of Harnett county, He was the son of the late George Richard Connor and Beatrice Johnson Connor. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 27th at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 10005 Lake Wheeler Rd. Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526. The service will be live streamed on the church's website (www.pgbcfv.org). Gordon is survived by his wife of 71 years, Margie J. Connor; daughters, Jennie Price of Surf City, Cathy Ellis and husband, Ken of Fuquay-Varina, LeeAnn Byrum and husband, Dave of Fredericksburg, VA; sons, Gordon Richard Connor, Jr. and wife, Susan of Fuquay-Varina, Tony Connor and wife, Tracie of Fuquay-Varina; sister-in-law, Betty Stone of Greensboro; 8 grandchildren, Joshua Price of Surf City, Gordon Richard Connor, III and wife, Lindsey of Huntsville, AL, Michelle Connor of Fuquay-Varina, Cindy Roganti of Fuquay-Varina, Katie Tunstall and husband, Josh of Lillington; Elizabeth Singhas and husband, David of Wellington, FL, Sarah Connor of Minneapolis, MN, Riley Connor of Fuquay-Varina; 11 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Renovation Fund, 10005 Lake Wheeler Rd. Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526 in Gordon’s memory.
