Raleigh – Geraldine Curtis Tew, 82, passed away on Sunday. She was the widow of Henry Tew, Sr. Mrs. Tew worked as a waitress in the Raleigh area for over 30 years. She was a long-time member of Mid-Way Baptist Church. Surviving are sons, Larry Tew and his wife Tracey and Wayne Tew and his wife Kim; grandchildren, Tamela Buttrey, Troy Tew, Sharon Campbell, Alan Tew, Griffin Tew, and Spencer Tew; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Fred Curtis and his wife Elsie and Johnnie Curtis; sisters, Sarah Borre and Sandra Faison and her husband Bill; and a daughter-in-law, Becky Chappell. Mrs. Tew was preceded in death by her son, Henry Tew, Jr.; a brother, Charles Curtis; and a sister, Elizabeth (Tootsie) Price. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 4, at 2 PM at Mid-Way Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 until 2 PM Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Transitions LifeCare Hospice, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
