George Stancil

George Robert Stancil "Skippy" 77, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025. George was born August 7, 1947, in Wake County, to the late Reuben Stancil and Nell Stancil.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Sandra, his sister Linda, and his brother Russell.

George was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. He loved his son, grandson, and his dog Mattie. George lived life to the fullest and always worked hard.

Survivors include his son Chris (Lisa) and one grandson, Tyler David Stancil, as well as his sister, Carolyn, and many friends.

The family wishes in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions may be made to your local SPCA or a charity of one's choice.
