George Taylor Dean
George Taylor Dean, age 94, of Angier, NC died on Sunday, February 1, 2026 in Central Harnett Hospital, Lillington, NC. He was born on December 21, 1931 in Johnston County, NC to the late Grover and Emma Dean.
He was known as Daddy, Papa, Daddy George, and Granddaddy to his family. He is survived by his daughters, Theresa Wilkins, Terri Farmer and Ruby Mills; nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and five great, great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Retha Dean; his daughter, Shirley Sellers; his two sisters and six brothers.
His graveside memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 2:00 pm in Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier, NC.
