Ewell Timothy (Tim) Robeson was born in Dublin, NC on September 20, 1943 to Ewell and Isabell Robeson. He was the fourth of ten children born on a tobacco farm. He was taught to work hard on the farm and that is the place where he became an avid outdoorsman. Tim was a man that loved to camp, fish, coach baseball, and attend NC State football games. He was a 42-year Wolfpack Club member. The number one thing he loved more than Wolfpack football was his family. It was very apparent that he was proud of his children and grandchildren by the way he truly cherished his time with them, whether that was at Christmas (his favorite holiday) or at any sporting event.
Tim graduated in 1961 from Elizabethtown High School and spent four years in the US Navy. He was able to see the world through his military experience. He served one year in Reykjavik, Iceland which he enjoyed thoroughly. Tim served on the USS Forrestal in the Mediterranean Sea. On the Forrestal is where gained his interest in plane maintenance and electrical programs, and became an aircraft electrician. After leaving the Navy, he started college at Southeastern Community College in Whiteville, NC. He then entered N.C. State University and graduated with an BS in Electrical Engineering degree on August 15, 1970. Shortly after, on August 30, 1970 Tim started working with Carolina Power and Light Company. He later retired from Duke Energy with 50 years of devoted service. He held Professional Engineer licenses in North Carolina and Florida.
Tim is survived by his wife, Tish Robeson of 56 years; his children, Tyler (Kristie) and Travis; and his four grandchildren, Bradley, Kaitlyn, Aubrey(mother Megan), and Quinn(mother Megan). He is also survived by his siblings, Allen (Linda), Judy, Sharron, Anita, and Cathy. He was preceded in death by his siblings Leon, Robert, Ellen, and Jane.
