Evelyn Marcom Mcguirt

GARNER – Evelyn Marcom McGuirt, 89, died Saturday in Colorado. Born in Wake County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lassie Womack Marcom. For many years, she was a fixture at W.B. “Wimpy” Williams Store, where she worked alongside of her sister, Arlene Williams. A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Friday at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. Friends may call 1:30 -2:30 pm Friday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Survivors include her sons, Johnny R. Yeargan and wife, Linda of Wheatland, WY and Joseph B. Yeargan of Raleigh; sister, Emma Franklin of Cary; brother, Tommy Marcom of Apex; grandchildren, Joey Yeargan of Pine Bluffs, WY, Ben Yeargan and wife, Candice of Greeley, CO and Jordan Yeargan of Raleigh; great-grandchildren, Brayten and Jayce. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Milton McGuirt; sisters, Arlene Williams, Ila Mae Clark and Mary Clark; brothers, Claude Marcom and Robert Marcom.
