Estelle Wood Staton

RALEIGH – Estelle Wood Staton, 69, died Sunday at her home with her family. A native of Wake County, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Dorothy Tucker Wood. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Burial will follow at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service Saturday from 11:00 am–1:00 pm. Survivors include her husband, Billy Staton, Sr.; daughters, Cindy and Christy Staton; son, B.J. Staton; grandchildren, Dakota and Kayla; sisters, Judy Ellis, Brenda Carroll, Barbara Smith, Pat Wood and Teresa Allen; brothers, Dwight, Stanley, Alfred and Cecil Wood; her canine companion, Cocoa and feline companion, Katana.
