Elwood Hosea Young

Raleigh- Elwood Hosea Young, 86, passed away Monday. A native of Wake County, he was the son of the late Hosea M. and Flonnie Page Young. Mr. Young served his country during WWII as a member of the US Army. Funeral services will be 7:00 pm Thursday at Fellowship Baptist Church, Willow Spring, NC. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:30-7:00 pm prior to the service. Burial will be 11:00 am Friday in the church cemetery. Survivors include his sons, Mike Young and wife, Debbie of Knightdale and Mitch Young and wife, Denise of Willow Spring; sister, Joyce Braswell; brother, Norwood Young; grandchildren, Joshua Young and wife, Selena, Amber Ward and husband, Chris and Cory Goss; three great-grandchildren, Lincoln and Reagan Young and Michaela Ward. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Dorothy Johnson Young; daughter, Sheila Diane Young; siblings, Inez Smith, Edith Morrow, Mozelle Robinson, Janice Nash, and Lacy Young.
