Elizabeth Jane Kelly

Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Kelly passed on October 26, 2026. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, after finishing business school her sense of adventure allowed her to immigrate by ship to the United States as a young adult where she married Francis Joseph Xavier Kelly (deceased). They spent most of their 48 years together living on Long Island in New York before settling in North Carolina.

Mrs. Kelly had a long career in the banking industry specializing in credit card security, working against credit card fraud. Mrs. Kelly enjoyed traveling and spending time outside with friends and family. She appreciated good humor and had a deep love of the ocean.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Caroline Elizabeth and son-in-law, Joseph Murphy; her niece, Maureen Grippa and husband, Paul; nephew, Timothy Kelly and wife, Rebecca; brother-in-law, Donald Forsythe and many other loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members both in the U.S and abroad.

A graveside service will be held Friday, October 30, 2026, at 11AM at Historic Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh, NC with Pastor David Mallory officiating.
