Elizabeth Ann Buffaloe, 88, of Garner, North Carolina, passed away peacefully to her heavenly home on July 9, 2026.
Born on September 10th,1937 in Durham, North Carolina, she was born as a twin and one of four children to Paul and Daisy Strickland. Ann lived in Garner and later graduated from High Point University with a degree in religion and psychology. Her life was marked by a deep faith, devotion to her family, and an unwavering trust in God's provision.
Ann became the beloved wife of Bobby Joe Rand on September 16, 1961 with whom she shared 29 years of love and commitment. They were blessed with two children: their daughter, Melanie Rand and Son, John Rand. Ann later rekindled her friendship with James "Atlas" Buffalo over the passing of their first spouses and wed in November 1992.
Ann could always be found in her garden nurturing plants! She nurtured the youth while volunteering at local schools and provided meals for those in need with "Meals on Wheels". During the holidays, she would faithfully serve with the organization "Toys For Tots" and other ministries with her home church. She loved to volunteer her time in the service of helping others.
She is survived by her Daughter, Melanie Rand; Son, John Rand (Mary), Sister, Alice S. Fish; Grandson, Jonathan Lee Rand, and her beloved cat, Lucky.
She was proceded in death by her parents, Paul and Daisy Strickland, her husbands Bobby Joe Rand and Atlas Buffaloe; and her brothers Paul Strickland Jr, and Fletcher Strickland, who was her twin.
Her graveside service will be held at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh, North Carolina on July 15, 2026 at 12:00 PM. She will be laid to rest following the conclusion of the service at Montlawn Memorial Park.
