Earl Erickson

WILLOW SPRING – On February 26, 2026, Earl William Erickson, 78, passed from life on earth into the arms of his loving Savior, where he heard these words, “well done my good and faithful servant, welcome home.” A native of Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Ellery and Eleanor Stack Willis.

Earl graduated from Oliver Ames High School in 1965 before proudly serving his country in the United States Navy, completing two tours aboard the USS Kitty Hawk during the Vietnam War. During his service, he married his high school sweetheart, Nancy, in 1967, beginning a devoted partnership that would span a lifetime. After returning home, Earl built a remarkable career in the trucking industry, driving for transportation logistics companies for more than forty years—a testament to his strong work ethic and dedication.

He was a passionate sports fan who faithfully cheered on the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. An avid golfer, Earl could often be found on the course whenever he had the chance. A devoted member of Amplify Church for over 15 years, he served faithfully on the security team and helped establish the church’s Veterans Group. Earl truly had a servant’s heart—always willing to lend a hand and quick to help anyone in need. He was a hard worker who rarely sat still, with a lifelong passion for health, fitness, and weightlifting, although those who knew him, also knew his love for coffee-flavored ice cream.

His quick wit, steady hands, and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race and I have kept the faith.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 59 years, Nancy Webster Erickson; his daughter, Dawn Omdal (David) of Fox Island, Washington; his sons, Todd Erickson of Massachusetts and Brett Erickson (Dianne) of Carver, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Haley Diffy (Jared), Heather Mumaw (Derrek), Joshua Omdal, Charles Omdal, Tory Omdal, Reese Erickson and Summer Erickson; great-grandchild, Kylie Diffy; sister, Joanne Hallahan (Paul) of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania; and brother, Douglas Willis (Cindy) of Duxbury Beach, Massachusetts.

He is also survived by his dear friend, James Pearce, whom he formed a cherished friendship during their time in the Navy, a bond that endured for more than 60 years.
