Donna Carter

Donna McDonald Carter, age 80, died Sunday, November 2, at home. She was born on November 27, 1944 in Greene County, Pennsylvania to the late James and Maxine McDonald.

She is survived by her sons, Glenn Carter of Clayton and Scott Carter (Karen) of Wilmington; grandchildren, Christina Cheers (Craig) of Wilmington, Savannah Fairley (Jason) of Clayton, Taylor Rowland (Michael) of Wilmington, and Charleston Carter of Wilmington; great-grandchildren, Merrick, Carter, Airlie, Riggs, and Elijah; sisters, Shirley Wamsley, Connie Townsend, and Betsy Mire.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Glenn Carter, Sr., and her sister, Judy King.

Her visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 2:00pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home. The burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 12830 US 70 Business HWY W, Clayton, NC 27520.
