Diane Thompson Williford

Diane Williford, 76, of Angier, NC, passed away peacefully at her home on May 15, 2026. Born on July 1, 1949, in Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late James B. Thompson and Lozzie Mae Gregory Thompson. Diane was the only daughter among three brothers.

Throughout her life, Diane wore many hats - business owner, farmer, avid hunter, and loyal friend to all who knew and loved her. She was a proud member of Fork Gun Club, where she enjoyed mentoring others and sharing her passion for the outdoors. Of all the roles she held in life, the ones she cherished most were being a loving mother, grandmother, and "Gigi" to her great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her brothers, James Thompson and Billy Thompson.

She is survived by her son, Phil Williford Jr. of Angier, NC; her brother, Garland Thompson of Angier, NC; her grandchildren, Dakota Williford (Destiny) of Willow Springs, NC, and Sierra Daigneault (Dale) of Smithfield, NC; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Emersyn, Levi, and Carson.

A visitation to celebrate Diane's life will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to 300 E. McIver St., Angier, NC 27501, in memory of Diane Williford.
