Dennis Edward Young

Dennis Edward Young (Red Dog), 68, of Angier, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

Dennis was born and raised in Angier, where he spent his life surrounded by family and familiar places. He was preceded in death by devoted parents, Orville and Gaynelle Young.

He is survived by his steadfast brother, Dale Young and wife Ernestine; his sister, Donna Young Peery and husband Rick; his nephews, Josh Young and Ben Peery and their families; along with many extended family members.

Dennis will be remembered as a son, brother, uncle, and cousin, and as part of a close-knit Christian family. Those who knew him understood the depth of his spirit. He lived a life marked by perseverance and continued forward in his own way. Dennis was a child of God, and his family rests in the assurance of His grace and mercy.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Senior Citizens Village in Dunn, NC, and Liberty Hospice, whose care brought comfort and dignity.

A graveside service will be held at Lakeside Memorial Gardens on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of his brother, Dale.
