Denis married the love of his life, Julianne Lundy, on September 1, 1962. Together they built a life grounded in family, love, and faith, living over the years in Illinois, New Jersey, New York, and ultimately retiring in North Carolina. They shared 63 devoted years of marriage.
Denis will be remembered for his deep love for his family and his unwavering work ethic. He served in the United States Air Force for four years during the 1950s. He later worked in the construction industry.
A man of many interests, Denis spent his early years racing cars and remained an avid follower of NASCAR and sprint racing throughout his life. He earned his private pilot's license and, during retirement, obtained his realtor's license and explored a second career in real estate.
Denis was preceded in death by his parents and by his beloved wife, Julianne. He is survived by his daughter Joanne Kalsch (Ken) of Raleigh; his son Dennis Lundy of Angier; and his son John Lundy (Rosemary) of Raleigh.
