Daryl William Wynn, 80, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026. Born November 18, 1945 in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Carl and Dorothy Weiler Wynn.
Daryl graduated from Aberdeen High School and went on to attend Western Carolina University for his undergraduate studies, later earning his master's degree from Appalachian State University, where he met the love of his life, Betty. He continued his education at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he graduated and became an ordained minister. He faithfully served as a pastor at several churches before transitioning into public education, where he made a lasting impact as a health and physical education teacher and coach.

He was also deeply involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, serving as an advisor and cherishing the opportunity to mentor students and share his faith. He loved both the North Carolina coast and mountains, often returning to the places that meant so much to him. He and his beloved wife were married for nearly 55 years, and he was a devoted father and grandfather who will be remembered for his faith, guidance, and love for others.
