Danny Allan Arsu, 78, of Four Oaks, North Carolina, passed away on April 13, 2026. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, Danny honorably served his country in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1980 and was a proud Vietnam Veteran.
He was a skilled custom cabinet builder who took great pride in his work, mastering the craft of building and installing kitchen and bathroom cabinetry. He was the epitome of a blue-collar worker: dedicated, talented, and hardworking.
Danny was a fun-loving man who was always quick with a joke and had a gift for making people laugh. He loved music and singing, often turning everyday moments into songs, and he carried that same joy and energy into the way he lived his life. He truly loved life. Whether he was making someone smile or filling a room with laughter, Danny had a presence that people were drawn to. He was both a loyal family man and always the life of the party, known for his big personality and even bigger heart. He loved deeply and out loud, and nothing meant more to him than his family. As the proud patriarch of a large family, he absolutely adored his children and grandchildren.
Danny is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sharron Arsu; mother-in-law, Cydney Garrison; brother-in-law, Arthur Rayburn; his children and their spouses: Heather (Dennis), Casey (Lonnie), Emily (Elizar "Z"), Tiffany (Shawn), and Sammy (Ousainou "Slim"); and a "bonus" son, Carl. He also leaves behind a large and loving circle of grandchildren: Kindi (Alex), Jade, Taylor, Craig (Kayla), Travis, Xander, Zach, Emma, and Anya, as well as a great-granddaughter on the way, Adalyn. Danny has a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins on his mother's side.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Martha Arsu.
A service to honor Danny's life will be held on May 14 at 2:00 pm at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather following the service at 206 Mangrove Court in Four Oaks.
